Come spend the day Horse Back Riding in the Texas Hill Countryside. The ride is 1.5-2 hours. We begin with a safety briefing, and lesson on proper riding and basic horsemanship. We will guide you through the ranch and up into the hills where we stop and take group photos with beautiful 20 mile views at your back. You may also get the opportunity to take photos of the wildlife and herd of wild rodeo bucking horses that roam free on the ranch. Afterward we will head into the historical town of Fredericksburg for free time to explore and eat!

The MGIB election window changed effective 5 January 2023.
Applicable to officer and enlisted members, the change moved completion of
the required MGIB election via DD Form 2366, Montgomery GI Bill Act of 1984
(MGIB) Basic Enrollment, to 90 days following 180 days in service (180-270
days). This additional time allows service members to make an informed
decision regarding MGIB election. Elections are no longer authorized during
Basic Military and Officer Training (BMT/OTS) and members who do not make an
election prior to 270 days in service will remain enrolled. It is imperative
service members in extended technical training (greater than 150 days) are
informed of their election window and given the opportunity to make an
election before the window closes.

On Saturday October 14th there will be an Annular Solar Eclipse, where the moon will be directly in front of the sun.
The library will be hosting a viewing party with free eclipse glasses. Patrons can come and go as they please.
The Eclipse Starts at 10:20 a.m.
Maximum Eclipse (Annularity) last for 3 minutes and 10 seconds at 11:48 a.m.
Ends at 1:25 p.m.

Calling all Super Kids! This action-packed challenge will test your lil superhero’s superpowers as they work their way through a series of fun fitness stations. From super sprints to power squats each station will be a new exercise designed to teach each super kid how to be a stronger and faster superhero! Each superkid will receive a super metal for participating. Suggested for ages 5 and up. Superhero costumes are encouraged! Will be held on the Football Field

The Goodfellow Library will set up their telescopes on the back lawn for patrons to look at Saturn, Jupiter, and the moon. Games will be set up and free toy handout to kids.

An introduction to climbing for anyone emphasizing safety skills, basic climbing technique, teamwork, trust, communication, and having a great time in a beautiful setting at Enchanted Rock.
