We will be meeting at building 109 at 0730 to load the vans and head to Inks Lake State Park! The park is located in Burnet County next to Inks Lake on the Colorado River, approximately 3 hours away. The landscape is hilly, with many cedar, live oak, prickly pear cacti, and yuccas. Devil’s Waterhole is a small extension of Inks Lake, which is almost completely surrounded by rock. There is abundant wildlife at the park, including deer, quail, and many other types of birds. This is an overnight trip with primitive camping conditions. Possible activities will include hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking and various camping related items. Meals will be provided. We will return to Goodfellow by 1800 the following day. Registration is required by calling 654-5643. Deadline for registration is 25th June.
